Tristan and Clive are your local Conservative Team in Dulwich Village. They're both long-standing Dulwich residents, and understand the problems local residents face.
Together, Clive and Tristan will focus on three key themes during the campaign:
- Restoring representation and democracy - Labour-run Southwark Council has a track record of ignoring local residents’ views - from the Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) schemes in Dulwich, to recently imposed car parking charges, and the management of communal recycling points. Tristan and Clive will listen to residents’ needs and actively represent their interests.
- Championing community, transport and the local environment - Southwark Council’s 24/7 closure of through roads in the centre of the Village has created community division, discrimination, traffic displacement and access issues, especially for the elderly and vulnerable. Tristan and Clive will campaign to remove them and to improve local transport links.
- Promoting good governance and effective public services - Southwark Labour lacks opposition or oversight and acts as if it is not accountable to voters. Only the Conservatives can provide an effective challenge. Tristan and Clive will scrutinise and call out poor or ideologically driven decision-making, ineffective use of taxpayers’ money, and address issues such as the postal service delays that have become common in many parts of Southwark.
